Hollywood Style : Then + Now 
Hollywood Regency is an actual style type among the design world, so we are merely playing with words for what is one of our six style types that is still en rigueur and will continue to be for some time.  This style reinterpretes the Hollywood era of utter glamor from the 30's and 40's. It is highly dramatic, seductive, and feminine and embraces glitz, glam, and retro-Hollywood without a blink of the extra-long lash. Today, however, many of the products are a refreshing reinterpretation of the Regency and even Baroque periods.  So, if you can convert a tuxedo or silk with beaded gown into a décor statement, you have realized the potential of this category.  Today, this style type is embracing new uses leather, to include metallics, silks and reflective surfaces, such as lacquer and mirrors. Coupled with a dramatic palette of black and whie, select modern art and accessories, plus the latest bold color of choice and the look is complete. 

Ask Recommendations : Since glamor and elegance prevail, consider including mirrored and leather furniture, lacquer and metallic finishes, and rich fabrics with quality faux fur or cashmire throws. Keep accessories minimal and plush.
